About me
I have been teaching English, Medical English and, more recently, Polish as a foreign language for 25 years in a variety of settings, including secondary schools, universities and adult education. I teach both groups and individual learners, adapting my approach to their goals and needs. I have extensive experience preparing students for the Matura exam at both basic and extended levels, and I have also worked as an OKE examiner. Over the years, I have been involved in developing teaching materials and textbooks for Oxford University Press and Macmillan Education. This experience has taught me how to make complex language clear and how to create materials that genuinely support the way my students learn.
My Teaching Philosophy
What is essential to me is creating a comfortable learning space where students feel challenged but also safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and try again.
After 25 years in the field, I am still fascinated by what language can do. Words shape our thoughts and influence the way we see the world. While effective communication remains at the heart of my teaching, I also want to accompany my students in discovering new perspectives, cultural contexts, and ways of expressing themselves.
